Mandatory - Current medical and emergency update form on file. All parents/caregivers are to keep a copy for themselves. Attendance - 80% of practices and attend 2 qualifiers. This along with attitude, sportsmanship and readiness are the criteria that must be met in order to be eligible to attend Winter Games at Skate Frederick in Frederick, MD at the beginning of March. Floor Hockey is similar to Ice Hockey and Poly Hockey that is usually played in the elementary schools around the country. Though the stick and the puck are very different the rules of the game do not differ greatly from Ice Hockey. It is played on a gym surface or an inline hockey rink. The maximum size of the rink is 30 meters by 15 meters. The minimum size is 24 meters by 12 meters. The same dimensions as a basketball court Teams can consist of a minimum of 11 players and a maximum of 15 players. The game plays three regulation periods of nine minutes each. Overtime is played if the game is tied at the end of regulation. Each period is divided into three shifts of three minutes each. Shift changes are mandatory and determined by the clock. Official
